Sharkey's Cuts for Kids Visit #15 to Janeway Children's Hospital

On Thursday July 18th, we had our 15th visit to the Janeway Children's Hospital to provide complimentary haircuts, minicures and tattoos for the great kids that are at the Janeway for an extended period of time and are unable to come to us. 

It has been a while since we have been to the hospital as there was a prolonged visitor restriction, but we are very happy to be back.

We only had a a few kids this month, one of which was a great friend of ours, Danika, whom we have known since we first started coming to the Janeway. This week she told us that her ipod that she uses every day had been broken, and being in the hospital so often, she really relies on it. After hearing her tell us about it, Sharkey's teamed up with Bell Aliant the the Future Shop to provide Danika with a brand new 64GB Ipad Mini.This will not only replace Danika's broken ipod for entertainment, but will also allow her to access the Internet while in the hospital. She was extremely excited and could not wait to call her mom, dad and poppy.

Mount Pearl Santa Claus Parade 2012

On Thursday August 2nd, we had our 13th visit to the Janeway Children's Hospital to provide complimentary haircuts, minicures and tattoos for the great kids that are at the Janeway for an extended period of time and are unable to come to us. We had a great time as always, and so did the kids!

Sharkey's Cuts for Kids Visit #12 to Janeway Children's Hospital

On Thursday June 21st, we had our 12th visit to the Janeway Children’s Hospital to provide complimentary haircuts, minicures and tattoos for the great kids that are at the Janeway for an extended period of time and are unable to come to us. Every time we visit, the parents tell us how much it means to them that our visits give the kids something fun to look forward to and how great it is to break up their day. We are so fortunate and privileged to get to do what we do, we meet so many amazing kids every time we visit, and we always get to see them smile! 

The great folks at Tim Hortons provided us with some gift bags for the kids as well as pre-loaded Tim Cards to get some Timbits!

Sharkey's Cuts for Kids Helps Send Kids to Camp

Sharkey's was super excited to team up with Tim Hortons this year for their annual "Camp Day" on Wednesday, June 6th. On "Camp Day" the proceeds from all kid's haircuts, dad's haircuts and mini-cures were in support of this great cause! 

The Tim Horton Children's Foundation provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for children to experience everything camp has to offer - an expense their families could not normally afford. On Wednesday, June 6th, Sharkey's was very proud to contribute toward sending even more kids to a Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp! Thanks to all our customers that helped make this possible.

On Wednesday June 6th, Sharkey's Cuts for Kids at 140 Stavanger Drive will be donating all sales from kids haircuts, dads haircuts and mini-cures to the Tim Hortons Camp Day fundraiser! Help us help kids by coming in to the salon this Wednesday June 6th to support this great cause.
